Halibut Warrior

Spark,
One flat per 4 man boat for 5 days fishin works for me. However you skin the cat thats 25 worms per day per man. Thats 50 bait ups for me. Can't remember ever using more that that many. True story: One year Dick ran out of crawlers on a trip up there once before I ever met him. Turns out one of his long time buddies was chumming with them and Dick never saw him do it. :banghead: They were in seperate boats is why. :angry4: Man, I gut laughed when he told me that. Anyway, your estimate should work and if theres any leftovers...they keep!

I know it's going to be to many, but I'm sure we would rather have more than not. We can talk about it more at the meeting. At that time I'm hoping we can walk away with a more accurate head count. I don't plan on putting the order in until the middle of April so we have some time.
SEA.....HAWKS....

I usually only use a half crawler as well, depends on the amount of people going to determine needs.

one crawler per harness half crawler for jiggin. we do alot of draggin when were slab huntin. my cuz says catch 3 eyes on a jig to each one caught on a spinner. so im gunna try to mostly jiggin, bangin the bottom and feelin fior the pressure bite. say two doz a day max times probable 5 good days of fishin. thats ten doz. per fisherdude. jeeze thats alot put me in for 8 doz.

TRITOON

Really starting to get excited about this trip. Looking forward to seeing everyone and learning some new techniques. It does look like our daughter and son-in-law will be coming up with us but they will be wanting to stay in the trailer with us. Guess they decided they didn't want to rough it as much as they thought they would. Hope this will still work out as far as fitting everyone in.  Will see you guys next weekend at the meeting and hopefully more things can be set. I look forward to seeing what everyone else will be using at Powell so I can get and idea of what to bring.  See ya there.
GOD BLESS

About 2 months out, yeah I'm getting excited.  I heard they may end up having some kind of temp fix for 89 in place so we may not have traffic/detour issues.  I'll post if I hear anything.  I'm glad to see we have a lot of folks wanting to attempt this trip.  It's a lot of fun.  Hopefully the spring wind plays nice.

OK cousinlll, update YOUR spreadsheet for next weekend's meeting so we can discuss.  ;D  We now have tritoon's daughter and son-in-law are coming, and DesertRat and CampinNana are out.  FishHawk still maybe. I think we can still make that 2nd trailer work.  I really haven't done any research on tackle and need to spend significant time on the other message board you guys setup to figure out what to buy.  Hoping I don't have to buy much and can make my lindy rigs or jigs work out.

Ok, so we'll put TRITOON & family in one trailer which still leaves one full/queen size bedroom open.....

So that leaves Brian & friend, Chris, Joe & Dick, Matt, Dave & myself w/ possibly Fish Hawk to fill the remaining open bedroom in that trailer plus the second trailer?  But like Brian mentioned in a previous post, there's no sense in packing guys into trailers so I'm still open to discussing the 3rd trailer option.  It's all up to you guys as I have no preference one way or the other.  That gives us something to think about for our discussion either this weekend or sometime in the near future.

Oh, by the way - Fish Hawk your welcome to car pool with Dave & I if you're able to put up with my driving for 8 hours.......

Thoughts?  Did I leave somebody out?

Sound hopeful & shouldn't be too much of an issue for us.  As for the spring wind, plenty of places to hide with all the canyons off the main channel.  It blew 15-20 mph on us last year without issues but it's something we need to expect.  Two years ago my wife & I were dressing in layers as it was a bit chilly but last year I think Dave & I were in shorts for part of the trip/days.

once again repeat after cuz larry the road issue is north of where we turn. not an issue unless y u want to drive to page load ur boat and take the boat to halls. hmmm that might be fun. how many mile is that? no i gots to have the jeep for campin.
