Well that really sucked.  We hit the lake at first light and fished till about 8;30 with only a couple light bites, we headed back to the marina to pick up some minnows to see if that would change our luck. Did not make any difference, after another 4 hours we headed for home with our tails between our legs. We did see a couple caught and they were both pretty small. Everyone we talked to said that it was good all last week but had dropped to nothing today. The story of my life.   One interesting thing was while getting minnows the guy stated that the minnows had been on the bottom of the tank for the last couple weeks and that today they were just under the surface. If the bait is changing depth I am sure the other fish will follow. Maybe today was moving day and we hit it just right to be wrong.     No matter it sure felt good to get a pole back in my hands even if we didn't catch anything. I just thank God that I am able to do it again so won't sweat the small stuff.
GOD BLESS

Interesting about the minnows. Friday, we saw the schools of shad hovering around 12ft deep.

Glad you guys got out. Hope to see y'all soon.

Hey bad as fishing was glad you made it out and weather was nice.  Looks like cold front coming through so best you hit it when you did.  Looking forward to seeing you at the next event.
