need bartlett help

I'm coming down from the white mountains to fish Bartlett on Dec 7 and maybe the eighth. I am not familiar with the lake at all. I'm taking my two year old son in his first fishing trip, along with my best friend that I never get to fish with anymore. I just got a new boat well New to me (98 champion 20 ft). I'm really wanting to get into some crappie, or even some bass if we can't figure out the crappie situation. I'm really asking for some help on pointers.
