I think I got mine at CVS or Walgrens or Frys maybe. I don't even remember. It has been a couple years, I keep them in the boat and I replaced mine once last summer. One thing I have found, a couple times when my remote didn't respond correctly, to took the battery out, rubbed it against my pants a bit and put it back in a good as can be. I think they must developed a little oxidization or something on the contact surface.
If all else fails, Battery Plus for sure!

Yeah, I've had my battery go out on my terrova ilink and couldn't turn the darn thing off headed right to shore.  Manually turned the thing with my hand and 'cause I had it set on autopilot it turned back to shore!  Don't recall how I fixed it but my foot pedal was in the back of the boat so I may have unplugged the trolling motor but was quite annoying.

I guess I am with Azbowhunter and never have even plugged in my foot pedals . I have terrovas on two boats I replace the batteries every spring and carry a spare ( never needed the spare, knock on wood), they are not expensive unless you buy them at Cabelas , I have never had one run out of juice but replace them every spring need it or not. Just curious how long since you last replaced it ???

Current battery is at least three years old. That's what made me think that I had better get a spare since I don't have a foot control!

I have had my Terrova do some really weird things a couple times where I deploy it and it is working fine and all of a sudden it starts turning one way or the other back and forth (kind of like the old robot on the t.v. show warning, warning :o) had to bring the TM up and stop it or it would turn till the cord was so tight was afraid it would damage the rotation motor, several times I had to do it multiple times till it quit the wild movement :wtf:

You can get most ANY battery on e-bqy for about $1.00 each. I posted a while back that I had extras if anyone was in need. I buy them in 5/10 battery packs for ALL my electrrnics needs,, red dot scopes, guitar tuners, remotes and more. A lot of units are interchangable. Just be SURE you get them from a USA supplier.

My Terova twisted the cord same way. I took it in to Cabelas and they found I had defective foot control. I have never used the NEW foot control, remote works fine.

I have read where others have had weird things happen with their Terrova but mine has been flawless right out to the box. Bought it spring of 2013. I have owned boats for over 40 years and guided for near 15 of those, the Terrova is the second best piece of equipment I have ever spent money on, number one being good electronics. (that is with the exception of the boat and rods/reels) but to add to the pure ease and joy you of fishing and making time on the water more enjoyable, it has to be number one! Did I say I love my Terrova!! ;D

and I hate my Terrova, but there again everyone has their own use for equipment etc.
