Had some rough weather in the beginning of the trip. Lots of wind, some rain and hail. Finally broke and we had two really beautiful days up there. There really was no mudline to speak of this year where we normally fish. We had to travel up to Good Hope Bay to find dirty water, which is where the walleye were really biting. On Wednesday, Tommy and I put 80 miles on the water trying to figure things out uplake, as neither of us had been up there. All in all it payed off. We ended up with 91 walleye, tons of smallies and bluegil, some cats, and a couple of nice striper. One of which won us the goon fish side pot.

What you are saying is 91 Walleye for the whole group for the whole week correct.  That was rough fishing. :3some:

No, that was just 91 for Dave and Tommy.  I think Larry has the actual numbers perhaps he can chime in.  As Dave said though, it was somewhat tougher fishing Sat-Tue with improved weather Wed-Fri - plus heading up to Good Hope Wed-Fri also helped things.

Holy crap guys, I totally forgot to post the final Walleye numbers from how freakin long ago?!!!  My apologies to all of you.

A BIG THANK YOU to Freshwater as Jerry emailed me the other day asking about it. I had a WTF moment when realizing I didn't get my job done.  So again, my apologies for being just a bit late on posting this  :glasses9: :dontknow: :banghead:

Notes:
   * Due to LLL motor issues on Sat/Sun, Bill fished with Tommy & Dave while I fished with Steve & Scott on Sunday
Matt, Timbo & Allen did not arrive Hall's Crossing until Tuesday night
If you look at the numbers, it's so very evident of how our normal spots did not produce the numbers it has in years past

So does anybody have any thoughts or questions looking at the numbers?  To me, it does tell a story - the group grinded it out in our normal spots for what, 3 or so days before making the big move up to Good Hope Bay.  And credit to everybody in the group for helping one another find the bite.

Man I love this trip. Definitely fishing the old spots made a huge difference in numbers.  I wonder if it's a water clarity issue or what.   Definitely cloudier the further up river we went.  Also the weather was very poor and windy for the first few days as well if I recall.
