Hey swikmo, thanks for the report.  That one inhaled the spoon.  How do you fish those spoons on the bottom? Are you casting it out, letting it drop, and reeling slow to stay near bottom, or dropping straight down and somehow jigging them? Never fished with spoons for crappie.

thats about the fourth or fifth fish to inhale it like that, they must really like it. im just dropping it straight down till it hits bottom and giving it one crank to get it just off bottom then do small 1-2' pops with the rod tip. i miss quite a few not being ready for it as they hit it on the drop and you think its bottom until you feel them spit it lol

Great report thanks, how do you keep that treble hook spoon out of the trees and brush :dontknow: when I spoon for stripers at Pleasant I have to be real careful not get hung up in a tree or lots of times I donate a spoon to the depths :crybaby2:

oh ive lost quite a few but i try to fish in between the bushes and trees or just on the outsides of them. cant really help it cuz the fish are literally laying on the bottom and you practically have to hit them on their head with it. having 2 graphs now really helps me to determine where branches are as well.
