The Let's Talk Fishin' 2026-2027 season schedule is set! Once again it includes a crappie division with new payouts and big winnings.

The longest running Crappie tournament trail in Arizona is only a couple days away from starting their 2026-2027 season!

Registration can be done online or at the lake for each event. The LTF circuit allows up to three anglers on a boat for each event so bring a friend or the family! The season runs September 2026 through May 2027. All tournaments will be held at Roosevelt Lake except for one April event at Alamo Lake on April 3 with the Arizona Crappie Association's Spring Crappie Fest. There are no membership fees required to fish this trail. LTF also hosts an exciting Veterans event in November following the Saturday tournament.

The LTF Crappie Trail is a platform for Crappie anglers to participate in a setting that will test their skills against other competitors and have a chance to win prize money along with other rewards.

The first LTF AZ Crappie Tournament of the 2026–2027 season is officially in the books!

We had a great turnout with 10 teams competing, and 8 of those teams brought in a full 7-crappie limit.

Congratulations to Tim Mraz and Seth Yarbrough, who took 1st place with a total weight of 9.66 lbs. They also brought in the biggest crappie of the tournament at 1.86 lbs and took home $524.

2nd Place: James Rollins and Robert Geist — 8.45 lbs — $170

3rd Place: Brian Bernard, Gunner Bernard, and JT Butler — 8.42 lbs — $72

4th Place: Leon DeLong and Robert DeLong -- also won mini-tournament, goon fish, 2nd biggest crappie - $244

Richard Johnson won the gas prize - $50

The next LTF tournament is October 17. The weather should be great, making it a perfect time to get out on the lake and catch some crappie.

Remember, you can join the LTF Crappie Tournament Trail at any point during the season, and you don't have to fish every tournament to participate. The October 17 tournament will also be a great opportunity to pre-fish Roosevelt Lake ahead of the Arizona Crappie Association's Bob Hirsch Crappie Classic the following weekend on October 24.
