Title: Alamo 4/12-4/13
Post by: sandman on April 14, 2012, 01:46 PM
We wanted to give Alamo one more try before SCF. Thursday we couldn't scare up a bite. Friday we landed 4 crappie and 3 bass. Crappie were 3 males, all about 1.5#, and one female that had already spawned out. Bass were 12.5", 16", and 17". Two females that will spawn the next full moon and one male.

That big front blew in Friday afternoon and it was a rough one. I think that one tent in the campground may have ended up in Wickenburg.

glad you caught some crappie, was it crowded sure was nice and quiet monday, hopefully there will be another spawn, I find lots of times the late or last spawn they don't wait for a full moon they just kind of move up in groups. This is a heck of a cold storm for April :wtf:
