NEED to place our order at Liar's Korner - I know Joe & Dick have already placed there order SO - How many flats should I have Dave order? Like to get this done today if possible please............
Thanks
Brian is in San Diego with Willie, and I haven't a clue... I'll trust your judgement on this one...
Do we need to send you some cash? Should have done that at the spring fest...
put me in for 6doz or a quarter flat? somewhere in the 75 to 100 individuals range. thx larry
We'll take a half flat and let us know how you would like to get the money. we could drop it off at liars korner in an envelope and he could give it to you when you ask for it. just a suggestion :ecomcity:
Ok Guys, got ya down. Will get with Dave as he's placing the order for us. As for payment, we'll settle up at Halls Crossing.......
I put the order in for 2 flats of crawlers for you all. Total of 84 dozen. 70 dollars a piece. Square up with LLL later.
How much per crawler. Can I buy them as I need them so I don't over do it.
That should b fine.
I'll be splitting time between menrats, wallyg (if he goes), and any other boat that'll have me. If needed, I can bring walmart special worms. I would think a couple double-packs would go a long way?
thx gents.

Roughly 14 cents per crawler if my math is right. I rounded up....
Then that would be 7 cents for a half which seems to be the way to go. WOW !!!!!!!! what a deal. Now if I can catch two fish per half crawler then it is only 3.5 cents per fish. That beats minnows any day, I only get one fish for every half dozen on them.
You won't be disappointed with the quality of the crawlers that we get from liars korner. Much better than you can get at wally world or anywhere else.
I am sure of that. I was just trying to get a grin out of someone. I am all in to divi up fully on equal shares in the entire batch. :icon_jokercolor:
I think Brian should have to pay for half of mine, since he catches all the damn fish anyway... :lol_hitting:

We all have our role. I got 20 on the mule :bootyshake:
I ordered a full flat for our boat so we should have some to sell as well. Of course I have been on trips when the eyes were hitting light and we went through a ton of worms. Of course the use of artificial can always be used but my best catches of eyes are consistantly live bait.
I'll be picking up 2 flats of nightcrawlers from Liars Korner on Friday................
I picked up a 2lb bag of worm bedding from cabellas yesterday so we should be good to go with that.
Just picked up 2 flats of Liar's Korner killer nightcrawlers - that's approx 1000 nightcrawlers total for $150........ :headbang:
Awesome, I want to leave already!
Bumping this to the top for our 2014 trip.....
Dave sounds like he'll be point man for getting the night crawlers for this years trip.. Thanks for "volunteering" Champ!!  It helps that he lives blocks away from Liar's Corner & knows Richard.
Anyway, for those that are interested in getting crawlers for this years trip Dave was thinking he'll give Richard a heads up as to how many flats we might need. So what do you guys think as to how many we might need?
28 crawlers per day per person we'll need 2 flats at minimum for our trailer. Go big or..,,, we also need to place an order for smile blades.
We will probably need a bunch as well but I'm really going to focus on the jig bite this year with scent or tipped with a piece of crawler. Bouncers will be used for deep water.

Agree! Think this year I'll copy you by just getting the blades, beads & slow death hooks to make up our own rigs. Where did you buy the beads at?

I like your plan!! Maybe this year I'll bounce between boats - hang with you for tossing jigs then hang with Dave & Bill to rest my sore casting shoulder.

I'm down for some jigging if there's a jig bite. I'm sure you also remember Brian's jigging spot, depending on water level.
Any of the fishing supply places sell them or order them online on eBay.

I can't remember what happened yesterday - too much jet exhaust! But your suggestion to poach Brian's spot is a very good one!! :bootyshake: :o He'll never figure it out. In the morning we'll catch say a dozen or so fish then leave for lunch, letting Brian's spot reload for the early evening bite where we'll continue the poaching........

Even a longer walk from the ramp to vehicle!
How far down does it have to get when they close that ramp?
Dave stopped at Liar's Corner this morning to get some crawler info from Richard. Said he need a couple weeks lead time to order. I'm thinking we need to figure out how many we need to order by the beginning of April.
One flat contains 500 crawlers at $70 plus he also sells a half flat with 250 crawlers for $40
I am going to need a firm number for the crawler order. Please don't tell me you just want crawlers, as I would like a realistic number. I have heard some people say that 2 dozen a day per person. Just let me know what you want, and I'll make sure we get them. I would like to place the order this coming weekend if I can. I will post current prices from Liar's Corner. Also need some input as to online vendors. Like this one.

7 days fishing x 2 dozen per day = 168 nightcrawlers per person for the week. Tom, a half of flat is 250 crawlers - slightly less the 2 dozen per day but close. I would think a half a flat for us would be good. We can jig too. What do you think?
Full flat, Using funny math, Figure 7 + days with 3 per boat, 500 / 7 = 49 or so per day / 3 guys = 18 + crawlers each per day. I usually use a half crawler so double that to around 36+ 1/2 crawlers per day per person. I usually use a 1/2 crawler so that would put us at about 18 each per day. Plus I want to focus on the jig bite so put us down for a 1/2 a flat as well. Does it make sense?

Prices for the crawlers at Liar's Corner have not changed. $70 for a 500 count flat. $40 for 250 half flat tax not included. If you follow the link above, and use the 2nd day shipping due to the heat. I come up with $105.71 per 500 count flat.
1/2 a flat for me Dave. I'm thinking BIG or stay at hame.

How about the three of us get one flat?
My opinion on the mail order deal - We know what the crawlers at Liars Corner look like. Shop local & keep Richard & Liar's Corner in business.
DEADLINE TO PLACE YOUR NIGHTCRAWLER ORDER IS THIS COMING FRIDAY, APRIL 11TH!! And yes, I had to shout sorry
Richard at Liar's Corner needs the order by this weekend. So please make it very clear as to how many crawlers you want.
We'll take a half flat Please
Order Tom and I a half flat and I'll confirm with him this week and let you know if anything changes by April 11th.
I want to change my order to a full flat, rather have to many than not enough.
A flat for the 3 of us is ok. we can always steal some if needed
new report on waynes word about guys catching walleye up on that end of the lake :dontknow:
One half a flat for me and Peggy.
I think the order is complete, but I'll give it until Friday for someone to update.
LLL-Hawk-Sparkchaser 1 flat
Rats-Oneblade 1/2 flat
Mike-Debbie 1/2 flat
Freshwater-Merlotkid 1/2 flat
Wadefisherman 1 flat
SteveJ 1/2 flat
Once I place the order I'll post the total. You can repay me via paypal or check via snail mail before we leave. Or cash once we get there. Just let me know what method works best for you.
I'll pay cash or pay pal whichever you prefer.
Paypal easiest for me (just send the email address to use) but also could do cash upon arrival.
Pay pal or cash. Your call
were gunna have so many worms well have to set up a stand and sell em for gas money.
OK the order was placed. Total came to 300.95 tax included. The breakdown is 75.23 per full flat. 37.62 per half flat. The order should arrive the either the 21st or 22nd. I asked Richard to have the order come as four full flats dived into 8 half flats. So if someone wants to go and pick up their own half, it should be easily done. Just let me know if this is your plan, and I will relay the info to Richard.
On another note, my grandmother passed away yesterday. With Easter being next weekend, it is starting to look like a service will be held the following weekend. Just in case I can't make the trip at all, which I don't foresee, paypal will be the easiest method. Here is my paypal addy
davenjen94@cox.net
Also, when paying me make sure you check "gift" so I don't get charged for every transaction. Thanks
Sorry for your lose. Going to Pay Pal.
Thanks for taking this on Dave, sorry for your lose. Will send to pay pal account.
I sent you payment via paypal for Tom and my half flat.
I'll make the drive out there Wed, 4/23 later afternoon to pick up my half flat. Unless if there is someone who lives closer to my area (Cooper & Guadalupe) I could coordinate to pick them up from your place Wed night or Friday early afternoon.
I spoke to Richard this morning. He said the shipment would be here Tuesday. I told him that people might be stopping by.
Please keep Dave updated as to who is picking up their own crawlers. We certainly don't want to leave anybody out! Thx
We know Dick & Tim are picking their crawlers up, who else?
Will pick up at Lake Powell.
I will pick up mine for Tom and I. We 'might' be heading up Friday.
Will also get at lake powell
Will get at Powell, thx Dave!
It looks like Matt will be the only one picking up their own crawlers. I was there yesterday, and Richard has your half flat designated for you by name. Probably misspelled, but you get the idea. The other part of the order, which is 3 and a half flats for everyone else will be picked up on Friday by LLL. I will be out of town Friday, or else I would have taken care of this part. Man, it's good to have friends :3some:. Looking forward to the repeated yells of "FISH ON....GET THE NET" next week.
