I am looking for a place to stay for SCF, and the only place close to the lake is the Roosevelt Lake Resort. The word "Resort" might be an exaggeration, so if anyone can vouch for the this place before I make reservations would be great.
Don't want to camp with da fellas......
Tonto Basin Inn, Punkin Center Lodge
The place is there. I've ate there. Never seen the inside of the rooms stay at the lake. Nice bath rooms running water and powered
If you're just looking for a place to sleep it's not bad. The Spring Creek Motel that is behind Boston's is better IMO.
Camp it? The nighttime festivities, campfire, etc. at the campground always fun and we have the group site reserved.
the resort rooms are frankly a dump. the resteraunt is good the lay out is really nice but the rooms are lousy. but at 40 bucks a night what can u expect. haven't been there in at least 5years though so maybe they upgraded. and you can plug your boat in. in frant of your rooms. again for 40 bucks...
I would rather tent it, but I am bringing my grandpa who sleeps :sleepy: with an oxygenation machine. Are there available power outlets at the campsite?
not only a plug in the restroom which folks use to charge their batts. the tonto end has better facilities im told.

My brother and I wanted to get our uncle and dad out on a trip with us last year, and my uncle has an oxygen machine. We used my power inverter connected to a 12v battery and everything worked out great. My brother and I set an alarm each in the middle of the night to check on the machine and we had a back up battery right next to the inverter.
Just a thought, but the money it would cost you for the hotel could be used towards the inverter and you won't have to deal with this issue again. At any rate, look forward to meeting you at SCF!
A small 12 volt inverter might work for you. Plug into power of vehicle to keep oxygen machine running. I have a friend that does that while camping, they are less than the $40 for the room.
Cool the inverter sounds like a good plan, I think I got one of those already so no purchase necessary! Thanks guys, looking foreword to meeting all of you.
You can plug into the bathroom. Bring a multi-plug & a long extension card & you will be good to go.
The multi-plug is so others can also use the power to charge batteries.
Camping is way more fun.
I am on Oxygen also. I have an Inogen 1 G2. My batteries for it last 8 hours and I have three of them also I can plug into my 750 watt inverter that I use for the freezer and TV. Of course I only use 1 at a time. as I', using off Solar Panels. As Backup I will have with me 8 E tanks to use in case of power problems. Also have along 20 C tanks for boat use. :toothy10: :3some:
