Headed for the peace and quiet of Alamo in the morning, hoping to find some massive schools that are just waiting to hitch a ride in my livewell. I am looking forward to posting a very positive report.

I hope you find 'em. I am starting to think a trip out there would be fun for a few days.
Will be anxiously awaiting a report.

Had a great trip to Alamo except for the rain driving up and setting up camp. Wednesday morning we headed out to the buoy line and started trolling. We started picking up fish around 10:30 and wound up with 16 very nice crappie. Thursday same tactic and ended the day with 13. Friday the fish had moved and took a little time to find them again but still got 10. Saturday right back to our spot from the previous day and immediate success. Ended a shortened day with 13 then went in and packed up and headed home.    If you want to see what really worked and more info go ahead and join up and come on into the clubhouse and get all the details.

Sounds like you did great, I am going to have to put a trip to Alamo on my calendar really soon! Now, if I was a full fledged member in good standing I would love to swing over and get the full story...but. I am not! I would gladly join but making the meeting is the issue, nothing else. So for now at least I will continue to check in periodically and enjoy the reports from the region!
Thanks for allowing non-members that privilege!

Is Cholla ramp closed as the website states? That was entered on April 30 2014 the way I read it.
Thanks

regrettably yes cholla ramp is closed, they are trying to figure away to fix it to re-open it before spring break rush but there is little time and a lot of work to do.

there used to be several places to launch remotely up lake but I think with the water sooooooooooo low those are probably not useable so you only have the dirt ramp below the store
