On the water shortly after 7am. I bet we graphed 5,000+ fish.
Only boated 3 but learned a ton.
Water temp for most of the lake was around 55 degrees up from 51 a month ago.
When fishing 25'+ of water we saw TONS of fish between 15'and 25'. Anything less than 25' almost nothing. Area fished, north end of the bouy line and north shore. 1 caught between last bouy and shore.
Finally moved up lake to the mouth of the inflow. Never fished this area, boat doesnt do well on rock.
61-62 degree water, 12-14', hit almost immediately. Worked some more shallow water till 9', nothing. Went back out to the mouth, another quick hit. Shortly after we called it a day.
Water clarity was 4+ft most of the day, maybe slightly less at the mouth. Some surface crap floating here and there. And tons of carp at or near the surface. Might mean something to someone.
Not sure if the graph pics will load from phone.
Thanks for the detailed report. Not a bad day given day before was so rainy.
Thanks for the report, amazed 61-62 degree water up lake :o especially with the cool temp and some rain, they are forecasting rain again next week with days of below 70 degree temps. That is good to hear the water is warming up even with all the goofy weather.
Was the lake crowded? I am glad the main ramp is back open to thin the launch crowds
Lake was not crowded. Maybe 8 vehicles at the Cholla ramp when we left.
