Title: Roosevelt Sat Oct 10th for BHCC
Post by: OneBlade on October 11, 2020, 12:28 PM
Fished Windy Hill area 7:30am to 1pm on Saturday for the BHCC event.  Fished a couple poles off front vertical trolling, 1 pole long line double jig off back, and another pole with crank bait casting to tree and other structure.  Tried varying depths, but no crappie for us :-(  Managed a few fish X but otherwise got hot around 11am did some tubing. Check for other reports - others seemed to do better focusing on an area drop shotting to get near bottom.

WE caught 4 crappie by 8 o'clock drop-shoting minnows and then Kasey got hot boating 4 crappie between 1 and 2:15 on spoons. All fish came in 25 to 30 feet of water all from the islands to Haystack. .....Art

Our 4 crappie came from around the east point of Rock Creek, down in the trees, 20-30ft on plain hook dropshot minnows. Also caught a variety of other species, catfish, bass, bluegill, & yellow bass. Was a great productive day of fishing despite the fact we wanted just Crappie.

Caught this little guy on Thursday, the future generation looks bright!
