Got to the lake 1:30pm on Friday, 12/13.  Caught 5 keepers and 2 throwbacks using jigs tipped with minnows trolling 0.8mph.    Fished past the no wake buoys in the trees.  Fished morning of Saturday, 12/15 and caught 2 right away and missed 2 others near boat.  Bite stopped for some reason after 10am and nada after that.  Left 1pm.

The Desert Rat

Whaler and I were fishing the same area , today 12/14--Not to dwell on our success, I will mention what I observed--
Location--west side of the first Island as you head N past No Wake Zone--a few boats were landing decent qtys and size Crappie when fishing over specific Trees--From my observation, slow trolling and circling specific trees--double digit qtys were landed--"Food" of interest, Acid Rain and Shad colored artificial minnows--The Crappie are definitely located there , in a swath of a few hundred yards, but--specific trees--Whaler and I boated 4, on our own --and 10 (TEN) more with a net handoff  All were impressive in size/weight--
