Where the best place to get minows & permits on the way to san carlos from mesa.

Others will know more about minnows but as far as permits go, I always get them at the Circle K.   Just after US 60 makes the left turn towards Show Low, continue straight ahead on US 70.  Up the road a bit on your left side is the Circle K.

I usually hit Liars Corner on the way out of town for the minnows and the circle K for fishing permits.  They also sell permits at the Basha's on the res, just before you head south to the lake.  There is a gas station (I think it's called Gas 'n'Go) that sells minnows in Globe on the right side as you drive through town.

The wife & I fished at the dam at San Carlos Saturday night from 8pm till 1am.
We catch lots of crappie. We keeped 38 & throw back another 30 or more.
It was a great night. The bite was very lite & we only got 1 15". Most were 12"
We used both white & green lights. We fished till we ran out of minnows.
I will try to post picture lat er today.
