Cluff Pond near Safford area

Visiting family near Safford and went to Cluff Pond this morning - lots of little crappie this size.  Not very much structure in the little pond so it was tough to find them.  Someone told me they caught a 3+ pounder....not sure if I believe them or not.  Either way it was a fun morning.

Not a giant but a healthy looking fish. You had fun, that's most important. Thanks for the report.

probably a lack of forage for the crappie in those ponds kind of like what happens up north near Flagstaff takes the crappie along time to grow to keeper size. Glad you got out and had some fun.
