Hit the water around 1500 and trolled around for a bit trying to locate em. Put one in the boat before dark trolling, then after the sun went down the fish came out. I left a little before midnight and caught a total of 33 crappie and 9 other fish. I had to sort through the crappie as they ranged in size quite a bit, but brought home 15 good eaters.

Nice job sounds like it's picked up a lot there since a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the report I heard the lake has turned on. Did you fish under lights after it got dark?

Yeah, it has really turned on. Yes, I fished under a light and had quite a bait ball under me.

Alamo has been different this year for sure.  We hit it hard last week from deep to shallow and only found a few males.  Two weeks prior we had all females with eggs not even close to ready.  Its an odd spawn from all previous years I've fished the lake.

Thinking they all got Covid...

I'm not experienced enough at Alamo to know what "normal," but this year and last has been different for sure. Hopefully i can make it back this next weekend, if so i'm curious how much the moon will have a play on the bite.
