From AZGFD Lacey Schmitt, Aquatic Wildlife Specialist:

The Arizona Game and Fish Department will be installing donated Christmas Trees into Bartlett Lake on Friday and Saturday, January 10th-11th starting at 8:00 AM at Yellow Cliffs Boat Ramp. Volunteers will need to register for each day they wish to help.

We will be tying trees to cinder blocks and loading them up on Department pontoons to distribute around the lake. Volunteers will be able to help build and deploy trees. We will provide some gloves, for those that need them, along with the habitat supplies to get the trees ready to deploy.

Volunteers should bring their own water, food, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, etc. Volunteers will want to wear closed toed shoes and clothes appropriate for January weather. If you have any questions feel free to email Lacey Schmitt at LSchmitt@azgfd.gov or Nathan Bailey at NBailey@azgfd.gov.

AZCA member Patrick Middleton was able to help.  He said there were probably 12 of so people working on the day he went. Amberlee at AZGFD said the project went well, and they put in around 1,625 trees and hit sections from the main body to the flats. It sounds like they had more help on Saturday as well.
