Title: got lucky today
Post by: Fishless on April 04, 2012, 09:38 AM
When I left bartlett yesterday and I was putting my motor toter on the outboard I noticed what look like fish line hanging out through the hub :o ??? had just checked the prop last week by pulling it off to ck for line, so I thought that is weird so pulled it again today, about 6' of nice heavy braded line wrapped aroung the shaft right up against the seal :o had just started to put a nice sheen on the seal metal sleeve. :wtf:

Wow man nice catch! With a tiller I always get line in mine from the guy in front the first time they ride in my boat. I always tell them "You have to watch your line because while steering the boat and watching my lines I can't watch yours too." Every single person has done it anyways at least once :lol_hitting:

Always a good check to perform when strapping the boat down. This new braided line will make short work of seals around outboard and trolling motor prop seals too.
