Title: ow to sharpen an electric fillet knife
Post by: Bob M on November 06, 2012, 09:03 PM
I did not have time to put a video together tonight but promised this easy method so here it is...

Acquire a ceramic sharpener similar to this one... http://www.ecrater.com/p/15173641/pocket-ceramic-knife-sharpener?gps=1

There is a ton of different styles but the basics are two ceramic rods mounted at an angle for drawing a fixed blade knife through.  Simply put the blades of your electric knife together and into your handle, plug it in and turn it on while pulling and pushing it back and forth through the sharpener.  One or two times and it will be sharper than when first bought.

Cool. I have a couple of those. Rapala brand. Coarse on one side, flip it over for fine. I think that I got them at Bass Pro for a couple of bucks. Will have to give it a try.

Sounds simple enough, great tip.
