Title: need help trying to pick put a three bank charger
Post by: cval2300 on January 12, 2013, 08:38 PM
I need to replace my onboard three bank chargers. I ve been researching  stealth one,  pro charging systems, Minn Lots, Bass Pro XPS, I have no idea what to get. The stealth one sounds cool, to be able to charge off of your big motor. I don't really know what amperage would be benificial to my situation. When I fish, I usually do two to four day trips, then come home and park the boat in the garage for a month plus. So it would be nice to have something I could just plug in and leave. I dunno I can't figure it all out.

I went with a NOCO Genius.  Locally made I think.  I bought it at Bass Pro (at the Marine Parts Dept ).  It's the model that they recommended to replace the crappy Guest charger that was OE on the boat. Just plug it in.....for months is OK too.

DualPro for me - plug in & forget!  However with your comment about being out for 2-4 days, then StealthOne might be the product for you.   I have a generator to recharge my batteries at night & the DualPro does it rather quickly.

I have a ForPro nano 150 installed, regulated etc--In addition, I often go out for up to 10 days and troll constantly--I have a solar panel connected to my 2 trolling batteries and it continuously charges while to sun is out---well worth the investment, convenient etc--I too, have a Honda Generator,2000 watt to charge when I really need to do a deep well charge. however, mostly depend on the solar panel---solar tecknowledge is increasing as well as quality/ reliability and the cost is going down !!

I decided to go with the Stealth One AC/DC system. I'm excited to get it installed. Is anybody else running this system, I would Luke to hear how it does for you.
