I done got cox and looked all over on line to see if the show was on You tube or somewhere where I could watch in online and not luck. Darn sounds like it was a good show?
they where sight fishing. you could see the fish before the cast, see it bite, and the fight. filmed last April. should of said Dish Network
I'm thinking give it a week or two & then you'll be able to see this episode online at either his website or the Sportsman Channel site. Probably sometime after the next show is being aired.
if you see the show online let me know :notworthy: :notworthy:
I love sight fishing for crappie that is where I have seen them attack jigs from the side, straight up etc. when the water is clear at rosy or alamo it is a blast :headbang: :headbang:
I saw that same episode on tv today. I know want to go sight fish up some slabs at Powell. He said water was so clear you could see down 30 ft or so crazy !!
Just found online episode Clear water Crappie will air 3/10/13 at 10:30 on the Sportsmans channel
notice the bites were reaction bites only. dropshot not.
I saw the show. It was pretty good.
dang I don't get sportsmen on cox and you can't watch it online >:( someone record it and cut me a DVD so I can watch it :notworthy: :notworthy:
It will just give you the itch so bad that you won't be able to resist heading up there.
bruce the show in a nutshell. is jarret in 25 ft of clear water in early may or late april vertically jigging small jigs over sticks. the water is so clear that u can see to the bottom. hes just pissing off the cited crappie until he gets a reaction bite. don't know if they were on beds or just staged in the cover close to the bottom. then he hawks some cool electric solar charging gear. his tips, since reaction bite color doesn't matter minnows don't matter so choose a color u can see cuz when it disappears its in the slabs mouth. used only 4 lb test line. the slabs weren't large but he was having a good time and he had a diver so there were cool shots of the slabs.
love that kind of crappie fishing, lots of time with the big extension pole dipping a feather jig down into trees or near brush and watch a crappie come out and nail it, lake powell can be so much fun for crappie up in trees and brush with its clear water

That's what I am talking about. To be able to see fish hit your bait and watch the fight to. Can't beat it in my mind. I believe sight fishing is my favorite. Can't wait till bass really start spawn I'm a get a hog this year and watch the whole thing
