Water temp at the base of Yellow Cliffs,,,, 64 degrees!!! 61 out in the lake. Shad were in the area too! Not sure if any crappies were around,,, didn't "feel" any. Maybe Thursday or Friday
Last week before storm I got a few nibbles back their. Nice to see water temp coming up even with storm and water being released from horseshoe. I hopefully will be out their Friday.
wow :o thats hard to believe the water temp is up to 64 in just a couple days :dontknow: when it was in the 50's last week, sun and stained water
This is a shop shot from my 360 Hummimbird. The "lighter" area ahead of the blue boat is a school of bait fish. This proves that crappies are like "gold",,, you can find quartz without gold, but you can't find "gold" without quartz AND you can find bait fish without crappies but you can't find crappies without bait fish. In short,, we didn't catch any. Will try again Friday.

How fast can you go and still read the 360?

I was at Bartlett today we left the lake at 3pm .we fished yellow cliffs in the am the water was only 58 then. We went quite a ways up from the no wake bouys ,coldest water 55.7 that was where I had just 4 ft of water under the boat and turned around . At the no wake bouys it was 60 in the main lake and muddy water, 61 and muddy water in that back water north of there on the west side .Near the dam the water was much clearer and 61.2 ( On both of my lowrances , separate transducers ) The only place we saw evidence of bait fish balls was between half way between the marina and the dam there were Grebes , bait fish balls :don't know: and 61 degree water but no hungry crappies . This was my second trip to Bartlett got fish the first time 3 days after the storm but nothing this time. Will try again in a couple of days
bartlett came up almost 2' since yesterday, guessing the crappie are in a little shell shock right now, should be done filling by next week, then it should really turn on with a little warm weather and water
Bart is at 90% as of this morning!
