Title: Halls Crossing Lodging
Post by: cousinlll on April 09, 2013, 04:39 PM
With Matt taking care of all the meals, thought I'd start a new thread on our Lodging status.  Please feel free to add your two cents....

We did have a quick trip meeting at SCF last weekend.  One item that was discussed was lodging costs - per Brian, it'll be $150 per night per trailer.  It was brought up that the best or fairest way to divide this expense was to probably divide the total lodging costs equally by number of people staying in the trailers.  Thoughts or comments?

Here is a rough estimate:  $150 per night x 7 nights (Sat night thru Friday night) = $1050 for one trailer x 3 trailers = $3150 estimated total cost minus any taxes & fees.  $3150 divided by 11 people (don't have exact number yet) = $287 per person for trip lodging expenses.  Did I do the math right?  Thoughts or comments on this?

Here's a quick updated roll call of people going so far that'll be staying in a family unit:  Brian & Friend, Chris, Wade & Patty, Dick & his brother, Joe, Matt, Bill & LLL   Who did I miss?  Wade's family, along with Dave, are now unable to go.  Has anybody twisted WallyG's arm more about coming along?

It'll up to you guys as to who bunks with whom and this'll be the thread to decide that........

So that's the latest info - Question, Comments, Suggestions?

Sounds good to me...  Brian and I will take two beds in one trailer...

Larry, do you know if there is a clothes washer/dryer in the trailers?  Might save on a few packed things...

Sounds like a good plan to me. We are only two and a half weeks out. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas. Are we going to caravan up on Saturday.

There's a big rock down by the launch ramp.........

No washer/dryers in the units.  Halls Crossing map indicates there is suppose to be one close by though.  My suggestion it to get Ralph's email address from Brian for an answer to your question.

So looking at the above list, it would seem to me that:  Brian, Brian's friend & Chris would want to be in one trailer; Joe, Dick & Dick's brother would want to be in the second trailer and Wade & Patty in the third trailer.  That leaves Matt, Bill & I to fill any open bedrooms....

Me, Chris & Tom will be good to go, someone wants to share a room or sleep in the living room that is fine with us. Chris needs his own room, he snores like a sob!  :bootyshake:

How is payment supposed to be made. Upon arrival or departure or something other. Or is it the last one out pays for everyone.

With Tritoon's unfortunate cancellation, that opens a bed in our unit.  Matt, you want the bed in our trailer?

Yes, I'll take the bed.  We're still under the number to shift down to 2 trailers right?

Trying to figure out how much cash to bring up and who I pay.
$150 per night x 7 nights (Sat night thru Friday night) = $1050 for one trailer x 3 trailers = $3150 estimated total cost minus any taxes & fees.  $3150 divided by 9 people (is that right #?) = $350 per person for trip lodging expenses PLUS taxes.

Or can I mail I check when I get home?

I'll wait for Brian to chime in on this one - my original thought was to just bring a check for Brian?

Bring a check or cash, either ill pay them one check or we may be able to break it up.
