For those inquiring minds that are dying to know, here is some info on the current lake elevation vs. the past three years according to my notes:
Tuesday's lake elevation: 3578
2013's lake elevation at the end of April: 3597 with water temps of 57-61
2012's lake elevation at the beginning of May: 3635 with water temp of 61
2011's lake elevation at the end of April: 3611 with water temps of 55-57
So the lake is currently 19' lower than last year when we were there at the end of April. It'll probably go down a bit more but then it'll rise with the spring snow melt & runoff. And that's the million dollar question as to how much the lake will rise in the spring. Care to wager the lake elevation for April 26th.....

cold beer says 3580
I believe Matt asked about this - Per Wayne's Words the minimum safe launching lake level for the Hall's Crossing ramp is 3550.
:headbang:Your on 3585 :3some:
im in. im going big. 3592
I'm feelin like 3582 should be close.
There's also a "guess the water level" contest on wayneswords - but here's my cold beer lake level guess: 3611'
As Brian mentioned in another post - lake water level has taken the turn & is now heading up. Slow but sure so post your lake level guesses for that just reward of a cold beer! And no changing of your original guess..... :dontknow:
Today's lake elevation: 3574'
3585
3592

Tom, if we take my boat you get to do that walk :-)
waters way down. thanks for the link cuz
I can't make he trip,, HOWEVER,,, IF I DID,,, I would bring a non-fisherperson along to be a designated ramp-shuttle-driver. I think most of you have walkie-talkies/cell phones,,, a simple call-in and your ride would be on the way down the ramp. 50 cents a ride (cover cost of beer and some gas) is cheap at twice the price! I wonder how many people had heart attacks because of walking up that thing??? Have fun!
That's actually a live webcam still that updates every 10 min or so. Looks like a really nice day up there today.......
Tried it last night, got nothing but black screen, dark night. Yup, looks a bit low, but as Tommy says, " there getting away" toot toot...
its not a bad walk. grapevine top parking lot is worse I think.

I agree totally. This is much more gradual, and you can hit the trail to the parking lot halfway up. Although this trip I don't have to worry about it
We need an AZCA golf cart...
Just incase you may have missed it, lake Powell has come up 25' since we were there and is projected to keep rising. I think it's supposed to rise another 15' or so. Yeah!!! Finally some good news.
That's good to hear. I don't think that ramp had much left on it. Will be interesting to see where it's at next April.
I heard they were projecting a 40 foot rise from the snow pack.
