Post by: menrats on March 18, 2014, 07:54 AM
the camping was nice. I couldn't find timbo and I couldn't find a bite. salt end scouting but no finding. wind came up at 130 and we hit the sauce on the dry land. got real breezy later in the pm. no love nothing to report.

Tom I saw you at the boat ramp but you where gone before I got my boat out of water.
Fishing was great, catching sucked!

Caught one crappie a night past 2 nights. Setup with lots of lights right under crows nest in Salome cove, next night a few coves down. Lots and lots of HUGE gizzards

Thanks for the report.  Would assume night fishing would be the way to go there but finding the right spot I suppose is key.

Net those gizzard shad, can 'em with mustard - would be like canned sardines in mustard sauce?
