Title: Bench Seats
Post by: Philbie on March 30, 2014, 07:20 PM
I have an older V bottom 14' aluminum boat that will need new bench seats installed.  I did this a couple years ago with plywood and a sealer but they have started to come apart.  I'm entertaining using something different for material, maybe some type of 3/4" plastic.  I also want to install seat pedistals.  Any ideas, sugestions on material, local location to get materials.

Fiberglass the plywood and they will last forever. Easy DIY project.

Be careful with pedestals on a 14' V-boat. The center of gravity needs to stay low for stability. I would stick with 4-6" max height.
