The Arizona Crappie Association's November Meeting will be held at Bartlett Lake on Saturday, November 8th. Details as to the meeting location, time & which launch will be posted closer to the date as lake & ramp conditions at Bartlett Lake dictate.
This is a closed meeting for AZCA club members only along with any prospects that have already attended one previous meeting.

The next scheduled open meeting is in March. Tentatively set for Roosevelt.

Skeeterpeter, first-time AZCA prospects need to wait until the next "open" meeting, sorry. However, that doesn't state we can't meet up on the lake. Before I joined a few years ago, I met a few AZCA folks on the water in the months prior to the open meeting I could attend. Feel free to PM me as we get closer to the Nov meeting date.
I plan to make the meeting at Bart. but was put on as an "alternate" to work PIR with the Lions Club. I'm doing Thrs and Friday,,, didn't ask for Saturday,, oh well,,, wait and see. Good Luck!
From MenRats:
november's meeting closed to the public , guests and prospects are welcome, will be AT BARTLETT LAKE SB COVE RAMP/YELLOW CLIFFS RAMP SAME THING AT 1230. if theres a picnic area there well grab it. I apologize to anyone planning on 4 as announced at the bhcc but I was thinking maybe folks would be night fishing and several members would not be able to attend at 4. noon or 1 makes more sense.
1230 at sb cove/yellow cliffs ramp.. which I think are the same if not its the ramp by sb cove. agenda posted elsewhere.

............... just so I am clear on this does this mean Skeeterpeter and or others are welcome as a guest or prospect or what ? Is a guest defined as accompanied by a member ? Can this count for a prospect as a first visit if that prospect is a guest ?
I was unclear on this to, what am I? :sign0144:

Closed meetings were never intended to keep out invited guests of members. This issue will be clarified in bylaw changes that we will discuss this month and vote on next month. "Guests" must be accompanied by an AZCA member.

Rob, I sent you a PM. If you're on the lake Saturday, you can be a guest of mine.

That's the idea. Wtg Matt!
I actually invited Skeeterpeter to the meeting, but he will be out of town for this month's meeting. I plan on inviting him again to the December meeting.
I planned on making it to this meeting but Lauren's SB team entered a tournament so she's got three games Saturday and at least one Sunday. Regretfully, I'm out. All I wanted to do Saturday was go fishing, hook up with the crew at Bart and enjoy the day on the water. That's a no-can-do.

I'm going to miss the fishing as my son is home from the Air Force this weekend. But I will be at the meeting.

Ha ha, there aren't any trees in Cat Bay. It's all water there. :-[ Besides Fishless says water level changing the crappie go to the next brushline. Don't know where the "next brushline" is but I'll see if my lake maps show them. Going to check out the island... if that even exists.
I promise there are trees that hold crappie in Cay Bay as evident of me (actually my wife) pulling 9 from them. But i think the majority of them are moving down from up the river. I think the bite will be up there, if there is any with a full moon.
Hope everyone is catchin some fish I'm outta town be to Bart in two weeks!
So far have seen 5 or so AZCrappie fishermen on the water. 10 boat flotilla just past no wake buoys. Many of fish x caught but yet to hear anyone bring in a crappie. Stay tuned. Weather awesome.

Wish one of us would have gone way up stream... maybe O from Wi? We missed him at the meeting so not sure where he went. A few boats seemed to mention some folks were catching further up stream a week or two or three ago but not sure how much or when.
:iagree: No pics or details from the meeting??
Here is a pic of the crappie I caught...

when I went wayyyyyy up stream past ship rock it was brush city looked so good but casting the jig the little bass and blue gills drove me crazy could not even get down to anything fish able, thinking a live minnow probably would of ended with the same fate?
