After leaving this year with the limited supply of trailers when should we try and start planning for next year. Barring anything dramatic happening to me, I know I am going. I have Darkanna's card (the store girl) who I would try and deal with in the future. I'm just worried, that we won't be able to reserve the week we want. Historically, we have always gone the last weekend of April, first week of May. Next year that would put us at April 29 through May 6. Who's in, and should we try and make the proper reservations?
I like the idea of working directly with the store if that's possible. Probably all depends on who you talk to though. I'd hate to reserve through the store and then corporate doesn't know about it and ends up reserving on top of us. Depends on if they both use the same system.
I'm definitely in.... however the 7 days is too long for me. I would only be up for a partial trip. Depending on the trailer situation, I could be open to paying for additional days of the trailer if needed for the days I'm not there.
Also, sleeping in the front room was no problem for me I could do that again as well.
I'll start over feeding the worms and strengthening my jigging muscles.
I had a blast. I'm in.
The devilman would like to say hell yeah! Inside joke between Sparkchaser and myself but long story short I would like to join the Powell crew next year.
I'll make some calls and see what I can come up with as far as pricing and availability. I'll update after.
Sorry for the late response. I called Darkanna (girl at the store) and she said there was no way for her to make a reservation. She referred me to Aramark where I could expect reservation prices of 169 per night. She said once the reservation was made, she could manipulate the price down to 120 per night. As we saw this year.
I called Aramark at 800 528 6154. After being on hold for almost half of an hour they told me that their pricing wasn't available for next year. They said they earliest to expect any pricing for April - May would be August to September.
So I guess we are on hold for now. More info to come.
Very promising I am in for a trailer.
For all those interested. I gave Aramark a call today about reserving the family units. They will not be available for reservation until after labor day of September 5th. More info to come.

Nice.
To all interested in next years Lake Powell trip. Here is the current update as of this morning 9/6:
Reservations are available via phone (888-896-3829). I targeted the dates that we usually go, which would be Saturday April 29th through Saturday May 6th.
Current price for the trailer for the week with tax is 1017.36. To reserve a trailer you will need to put a deposit down of one nights stay which will be 169.56. The 169.56 is refundable up until 7 days before the reservation.
I have not been able to contact Darkanna (435-684-7008) at the store who said she could manipulate the prices lower as we saw last year.
I have made a reservation for one trailer for the dates above. Within that trailer would be myself, FishHawk, LLL, and Fishman. All of that can be changed to accommodate the group accordingly.
I know this is quite early in planning, but I fear that the demand will outweigh the supply as we saw last year (only 3 trailers available). Especially with the tagged walleye contest.
Please think about this and plan accordingly. We can plan the meals that we always do once we get get a core group of people to commit.
Best Captain Dave ever!!!!!
888-896-3829 Seems to be a non-working number

Tried the number at 2:30 PM and got through to Rain. Made reservation. Told cancellation had to be 30 days before arrival for full refund.
I'm in again next year, but still not sure I'm up for the full week. I'm assuming everyone else in this 2nd trailer is doing a full week?
Full week are current plans. You should be able to 'crash' at our pad Mat.
I'm anticipating largest Walleye, largest Goon, multiple taged fish prizes, all the poker winnings, and no broken ribs for captain Dave.

Tommy Magic....raising the bar!!!! No more coming off the top onto Captain Dave!!!
Is there room left in a trailer. The Merlot Kid and I would like a room if available. Sparkchaser could you give us a headsup if any are left as we're a little out of area

Jerry, as of now it appears that we have two trailers reserved. One by me, and one by Steve J. Looks like 7 people have responded with 6 for sure going. I'm going to be out of town this weekend at the Alamo lake meeting. Send me your number, and I'll call you Monday.
I reserved a trailer for Marvin, Mark and myself. My good wife may be attending too.
Booked another trailer.
Sandman do you have a room left. If so could The Merlot Kid and I get one. let me know.
Jerry, we are just locking in rooms at this point. We will work on the logistics later. We need to take a pulse soon to see if we need one more.
This is just a preliminary list of people going and rooms/space available. We can finalize everything later.
Trailer 1:
Mike and Debbie
Sparkchaser
FishMan
LLL - volunteered for a cot
Trailer 2:
Steve Jenkins and Roosevelt crew
Trailer 3:
Stevert and Wifa
One the Rocks
Marvin
OneBlade - volunteered for a cot
Trailer 4:
Sandman and Patti
Freshwater and Merlot Kid
FishHawk
Thanks Dave. Looks like four full ones. If anybody else is even thinking about joining, call and lock on another trailer. They can be easily canceled later if there are any dropouts but getting an extra may not be possible.
Yes I can do a cot again like last year so if you could mark me in trailer 3 if that's o.k.
Just making sure everyone in trailer #1 was fully aware that no other species can be targeted until we, as a collective team, catch the elusive Tiger Muskie. I believe that falls under article 6, section 1, of the Yamamoto, 5 inch grub rule book.

OK Matt sounds good.
Debbie and I are planning on going this year
I have a friend at work that is interested in going this year, space available. Thought I would bump this up to see if anyone's plans had changed. This was the preliminary list of people that said they were coming.

Just want to get the ball rolling on the "I'm for sure in" to see if we have space for others to fill in. Please only respond if you are not going to make it. Otherwise, we will assume the above list is correct, and we can start to move forward on the rest of the planning.
Very likely this trailer will become available.
I am holding out until 1st of March for final decision.
Partner has broken up with grandsons' mother and I was just doing the trip as courtesy to him and perhaps bring grandson.
Just put in my time off request @ work for 05/01 through 05/05 Tommy Fishman I coming for your poker money! Cannot wait I am stoked after missing last year. Even got a new rod and reel set up that prove to be the difference maker making me the winner of the side pots. Everybody please get in the side pots I am gunning for you! :sign0151:
To make things easier, for all local participants planning on coming to Powell. Please try and make the Feb. 11th meeting at Roosevelt. After club business is done, we will discuss and try and finalize the trailer occupancy. That will lead into the rest of the planning (meals, crawlers, ect...)
After the club meeting a few stayed and talked about the trailer situation. Steve Jenkins expressed that he is not going to be able to make it to the trip, which will open up another trailer. That will allow room for 3 to 4 people, or we can shuffle people around with the current head count so everyone has a room. What we need is a final head count of who is for sure going.
Also, someone will have to take ownership of the 4th trailer. Easiest way would be to call Aramark the day Steve cancels, and reserve the trailer in your name.
As of now, this is who I know are for sure all in....
Sparkchaser - reserved trailer
FishMan
CousinLLL
FishHawk
Stevert and wife - reserved trailer
On the Rocks
Marvin
Sandman and Patti - reserved trailer
Steve Dosset (friend from work)
OneBlade
Mike and Debbie
Freshwater and The Merlot kid
Timbo
WheatThin, Tweeder, Holzie

I don't think Steve should call & cancel as I would hate to lose an already reserved trailer - whomever steps up to take over Steve's reservation should call Aramark with Steve's confirmation number to have that trailer's responsible person info changed. Aramark might reimburse Steve's credit card & then charge whomever calls (not likely without Steve on the phone also) but in my opinion the easiest thing to do is reimburse Steve directly via personal check for the deposit he paid. That's my thoughts......
We might need to text Mike & Deb as I'm not sure how often they check in
I'm still planning on a Tuesday evening arrival staying Tue-Fri. I'm good with cot in front room to help save $$.
If anyone has a contact number for Jerry and or Lois can you please pm it to me.

Text messaged you their contacts at least what I had. You could also Facebook messenger them if that doesn't work.

Got hold of them, and they are confirmed. List is updated above
Ok everyone coming I heard from the final participants. I'm thinking this will be the largest group, at least since I have been up there. We will have 20 people going. This will be the layout unless someone objects.
Trailer 1:
Mike and Debbie
Sparkchaser - reserved trailer
FishMan
Steve Dosset on a cot
Trailer 2:
Stevert and wife - reserved trailer
Mark
Marvin
Timbo on a cot
Trailer3:

LLL
FishHawk
Matt on a cot
Trailer 4:
Freshwater and the Merlot Kid
WheatThin - will reserve trailer from Steve J
Tweeder
Holzie on a cot
That would put 5 per trailer to share the cost. I've already talked to the participants in Trailer 4, and they are ok with above accommodations. Just need to make sure everyone else is ok with the situation.
Excellent organization Dave. That's why you are the Captain!
Your the MAN!!!!
Best Captain Dave ever!!!!
I am fine with the arrangements. Thank you Captain Dave!!!
Well done Dave. Happy it is working out for everyone.
thanks Dave
Much Thanks for time and effort to put together this trip. My wife and I are truly looking for a good time and to renew friendships and meet new people. It's always nice when you can sit around and discuss the days fishing and share a few pointers. Thanks Dave and all who take the time to make it good.
FISH ON Freshwater
P.S. Does the marine dock have non ethanol gas. My MTR manual says that's recommended. Mines a 2012 90HP 4 cycle Merc. Don't know if anything other will hurt.
As one of the few non boaters going to Powell not sure why I am asking but how of the attendees are bring their boat. Just seems like there is going to be an over abundance of fishing vessels this year.
You can never have enough boats, rods, beer, crown, captain, senkos, jig heads, tubes, worms, Tiger Musky Lures, and $5 poker entries. Oh, and you can also never have enough lemon chello. Just saying.
Good work Captain Dave.
