Post by: cousinlll on April 20, 2018, 03:50 PM
Are we going to have the biggest Walleye/Goon fish derby again this year?

I think we should.  I'd be in for biggest walleye.  Still on the hunt for that.  This year I'm going just for 22".

I'm totally in for biggest Walley and biggest goon fish which will be my 48" lake record Tiger Musky, if not my back up plan is a 28" stripper.  Jiggy Jiggy.

New plan, while realing in my 13 inch Jig Waleye, a 48 inch Tiger Musky takes it out and in doing so falls victim to my 4/0 This giving me Goon $ and Lake Record. Jiggy Jiggy.

Tight lines to all my AZCA Walleye anglers. This next week will be very hard as I hear the vibrations of fish on yelled. I will be saying a prayer for all for a safe trip up, during, and back home. May ole toothy not snag to many fingers. You only have to beat 637 and the beat goes on straight from the Heart.  FRESHWATER

Matt do you want me to collect $ from the group and then hand over to u for official Tournament Director duties?  Same rules, legal hook and line method, no snagging (only hurts me and my giant carp), full photo of fish on the measuring device, close up photo of head and tail on measuring device, longest total length tip of tail to nose of walleye and Non-Walley Species. $20 for each category.

Tom, I would be OK if you just ran it this round. My derby tournament director responsibilities don't extend the lake Powell trip. But yes the same rules should apply, nose and tail should be taken in one picture. You can squeeze the tail too.  And it's the upper part of the head of the fish, not the lower part of the mouth.   Basically exact same rules as Arizona game and Fish.  Is there a chance that for those of us coming up on Tuesday that we get half-price entrance fee?

I think the Tuesday group should get to add 2" to the fish to make up for the two day everybody else get to fish

Happy to run it this year. Timbo gets an A for effort but doubt his request will pass the Executive Review of the Board. Nice try Matty Ice, but as Bruce Springsteen once said....You want to play, you've got to pay.....besides. If my memory is correct the last 4 years winners all came on the final Friday of the trip
