Hi all. Just curious as to who is interested in another trip. I've looked online and the 1st week of May is available. Unless there are objections that would put the trip from May 1st to May 8th. Price online is 2013.90 per trailer for the week. Once we get a headcount, I'll try and negotiate the same price we have gotten the last few years by phone. They normally give us 20% off.
I'd love to go this time!
:headbang:
You had me at "Hi". I'm in.
You know I'm down!
Pretty sure Im in this trip.
Debbie and I bought a farm in Tennessee and we will be moving there in December. We will be leaving the club and we have had our last trip to Powell. So sorry we didn't have that last year. If anyone wants to come out and fish Dale Hollow lake you are welcome. We have to find out how to dig the walleye out of there. Looking forward to the new challenge.
I want a Farm. Who's going to keep an eye on me at Camp now?

Holy Crap!! Very nice place! Club road trip for sure. How many boats do you think we can get on that "pond"? I can see it now, Deb in her Lund fishing on the pond while Mike rocks himself to sleep while sipping on his Crown and Sonic ice.
Congratulations to you both!
Nice place wow!! and away from this hell hole, good luck with the move and new adventure :headbang:

Great place! We are actually thinking the same but in Wyoming. Time to get up out of here!

I'm not going any where yet Art. Mike and Deb moved out of state.
Sorry Hawk, I guess I read it too fast, so we can still clash! .....Art

I was hoping to ride with Larry and Bill since it's my first time out there.
I'm working on Marv. Mr. Struckman got a better offer I guess.
So..we had 8 hard yeses, with a probable 9. Here is the list:

Here is the rub. I called Aramark to get the discount we usually get. It's available right now over the phone at Bullfrog, but not at Halls Crossing. At Bullfrog we get a restaurant close by. The savings is worth it to me to drive another hour. Or...we stick to Halls. Need to know soon, as the spots are going. Savings would be 20% per trailer. Or roughly 70 bucks per person.
I'd like to got back to Bullfrog.
Edited to confirm that we would be in Family units. Not the hotel at Bullfrog. Same units Kelley, Patti, Kevin and company stayed at a few years ago.
Also parking was limited at the Bullfrog family units compared to Halls.
I'm 100% in favor of the Bullfrog trailers. The set up was just as sweet...plus added option of a larger store, hotel restaurant, added gas options, nice cleaning station and the restaurant down the road. Plus we can re-visit where we camped on the side of the road :). Another bonus....anyone extra or anyone wanting just a few days, can just get their own room at the hotel.
I am in for whatever. Haven't been to either so I don't really know the difference. I do like the idea of more amenities at Bullfrog.
Dave;
Marv and I are in for Bullfrog or otherwise. I think Bullfrog is a good choice. You make the call, thanks for taking care of this.
Stevert.

I remember when marv and I rounded Hite and headed down-hill for the final leg near that camp site . We turned the bend in the road and saw Tommy dancing and waving like they had a busted water pump and could use a ride to Bullfrog. Shortly thereafter, LLL came in from the opposite direction and rallied up for the cause. Good times.
doesn't matter to me.
Reservations are done. I got 3 units in Bullfrog with the discount. Each unit came to 1766.10.
We have 9 confirmed so that comes to 588.7 per person for the week.
Pay me when we get up there.
We will figure out arrangements and food later.
Dates are May 1st to May 8th

Bueno. Thank You.
Well done Champ!!
I'll reserve Billy Ho's cot now - Hey Bill, can I borrow your cot? LOL
I like the restaurant being close but if I remember correctly, their hours weren't the best? IF it'll even be open! But a good option still.
And like Tommy mentioned, hotel close by is an opportunity for those that might want to venture out for only a few days and fish Powell. It's a great time and trip so come join da crew and catch some walleye!
Oh, I'll try to remember closer to the trip date to post a reminder but there are new requirements for boating at Powell that we will need to take care prior to the trip. Link here: http://forum.azcrappie.com/index.php/topic,4427.0.html
Larry, you don't need a cot. We have 9 confirmed, and 3 units. Everyone has a room. One group will have to split up into two units. We can figure that out later.
As of now the restaurant is closed. Updates for closures are updated here: https://www.lakepowell.com/alerts/2020/covid-19-guest-updates/
About a month to go....let's figure out where we are going to place our heads at night. We have 9 going in 3 trailers. How about this line up....
Trailer 1:
Steve S
Marvin
Tommy
Trailer 2:
Larry
Bill
Greg
Trailer 3:
Scott
Steve D
Dave
Any objections?
Bueno. We're number 1. Good work Sparkchaser.
Sounds good to me!
So, Rumor Control says that each boat owner needs to obtain a Certification for learning how to mitigate the chances of introducing invasive species of mussels to lakes in Utah. That rumor is true. Marv mentioned it to me while I was slaving away at work Sunday and all of you Peckerwood's were either fishing or sobering up. I logged onto Utah's DWR site and searched the subject and found the site. Each boat owner has to attend an online class , pass the test and pay $20 to register your boat. The Certification and the boat registration needs to be in your boat and in your vehicle ( I think it needs to be visible on your dashboard). I just thought I'd mention this to the group, It takes an hour to go through the class. Stevert.

I did it Sunday LLL.
I did mine last night
looking at waynes word lake is still dropping no runoff :o people talking about all the whale tails with the water so low and I guess if I read it right the only ramp open at bull frog is the executive ramp with parking a night mare. So depressed to see that lake so low.
