Title: Rosey 3/19
Post by: sandman on March 19, 2011, 06:26 PM
Trolled waaay up the Salt and only landed two green carp. 1.5# male and 2.5# female. Over 35' water!

West wind came in about 2 or 2:30 and it got rough.

Saw a 12' tin boat being hauled in to Schoolhouse on a ski rope, upside down. The two people that were in it were OK and they salvaged their cooler and fishing poles. Didn't see any life jackets :(

thanks for the report, it amazes me how often I see people sometimes packed into a small boat like sardines head out on a large lake with the potential for wind or multiple pleasure boats "wakeboard" type and drive way the heck up the lake, I often wonder how not more people are capsized and swimming back to the ramp

Yep, he was about 6' and 300# she was about 5'6" and over 200#. 6hp motor. No way to get out of harms way in a hurry. West wind was rolling down the lake and white-capping. Water was 65°. They were lucky. Mother Nature can be a mutha this time of year.
