Congrats to Team Crappie Sniper (Randy Howton, Brock Howton), winners of this year's Bob Hirsch Crappie Classic weighing in 7 fish with weight total of 13.45lbs winning $340. Team Crappie Sniper also won the Wild Willie Biggest Crappie weighing in at 2.34lbs winning another $340. In 2nd place winning $204, Team Crappie 4 Life C4L (JT Butler, Eric Minar) weighed in 11.82lbs and in 3rd place winning $136, Team Crappietiers (Florin Nesiu, Andrew Nesiu) weighed in 10.90lbs. Results have been posted in the azcrappie.com website (https://azcrappie.com/events-and-tournaments/bob-hirsch-crappie-classic/). This tournament was held at Roosevelt Lake and 17 teams participated. Most fish were caught in trees/structure, with the bigger crappie caught deep in the trees often at depths of 25-40ft.
In addition to the tournament, we had a great time with all 16 campsites filled at the Grapevine Coot loop campground Wednesday through Sunday. At the raffle, we gave away a lot of prizes from top notch BnM and ACC Crappie Stix rods to a Canyon Cooler. And of course, the fish fry potluck was amazing!
