Hands Down! This has got to be THE BEST fishing forum in Arizona!
Not only does it have active posts throughout, but has great topics for those anglers that are interested in Crappie fishing!

Thank you sir and welcome to our site!
This site was created by Louis Fleming under the direction of the membership of the AZCA. We wanted a site for Crappie and only Crappie. No other fish, joke of the day or politics. We'd rather have a small amount of content than a ton of BS.
If you think the public forums are good you should see our club only sections. These are forums for AZCA members only. Joining is easy, for more info see: http://forum.azcrappie.com/index.php/topic,242.0.html
Our next meeting open to new members is March 10th. Time and place TBA.
Thanks for the welcome, Bill :)
Hopefully I can get more involved with this group. I formed a group on Facebook group, Arizona Kayak Fishing Group with 31 Members and growing. We have planned and impromptu fishing trips throughout the year within the state and hopefully plan to make trips to other states.
I do love the thrill of catching good eating fish and crappie is probably one of my favorites. I just have to start learning how to catch them throughout the year :)
ha! I totally missed this post and just discovered it today. :)
Site was fun to build and been some fun learning as I've been maintaining it. The group itself it was really makes this site good though. A nice, close group that's always willing to help each other out with crappie techniques through the year. I didn't even know year round crappie fishing was possible until I met these guys and learned. :headbang:
Sweet! Great job on maintaining it :-) I'm hoping to learn from you all so I can replace my profile picture with me and a nice slab!!! I have went from a brown trout to a largemouth bass for my profile picture, so I am getting closer! LOL!
the Phreek is the man, he maintains the site around his busy work schedule and trying to have a life away from work. Billy and many of us have lived through some of the other fishing sites in AZ. with all the drama that has nothing to do with fishing and Bill has kept his word on this being a crappie fishing website.
still in search of the walrus swimming at bartlett for a photo shoot :lol_hitting:
I agree the Phreek is the man as many don't realize that setting up and maintaining this site isn't some full-time employee! We saw Phreek step it up too with a recent firefight upgrade he had to do on the site. AZCrappie is a great group of people.
:iagree: on this group being a great bunch of people. Though I haven't met any of y'all in real life, just reading the posts makes me a believer. Most fishermen are good people ! :D

I appreciate the advice & i am glad too know that this state is a crappie state... ill be looking forward to catch some lovely size crappie...ill be out in bartlett lake soon to fish me in some bass but i would like to know what lure that these crappie love to hit & how deep do i need too fish...Your Good Friend
Mr Lizama
Bartlett Lake water levels are very low such that docs aren't in the water so you'll need to have 4-wheel drive to dock. A month or so ago there were people fishing for crappie in Cat Bay. Many small crappie reports. You can't go wrong fishing with minnows on jigs with small grub. Use your fish finder to see what depth they are at but best to have 2 lines out at different depths and different colors and see what bites. There is some structure in Cat Bay and besides trolling you could try and find that structure and fish it. Good luck.
