SRP has opened the gates at horseshoe lake :headbang: because of the runoff, right now they are flowing 1800CFS out of horses shoe and only 115cfs out of Bartlett, they predict that Bartlett will be full by the week of 3/18, that should be great timing for spawn and hopefully the water to warm up, clear up etc.

Hope Desert rat isn't camped close to the water at SB cove or he may wake up to water under his trailer :o :o

Awesome recon, Fishless.

Working at the project, I did a little additional research. Bartlett should rise about 1-1.5 feet/day, until full. Whatever worked for the Bartlett crappies in 2010 should be similar this year. Water levels won't drop in Bartlett until Horseshoe is near empty, then it will slowly release water throughout the summer months. This is the plan, anyway.

I'm sure the link has been posted before, but @ http://www.srpwater.com/dwr/report.aspx?dt=3/12/2013, you can view SRP's daily water report. The date in the hyperlink can be changed to view historic water reports, up to 5 years prior to the current date.
Have a Crappie Day

interesting on the hyperlink being able to go back 5 years that is cool thanks for the info, betting it is 1 1/2-2' per day raise at bartlett

Finding camping space there will be an issue as they'll all be in the SB Cove area.  Will be interested to hear Desert Rat's fishing report.  Thanks guys for the info.

Matt, when bartlett is at 100% the water in SB cove is right up to the tree line there is literally (0) space to camp and over on the flats there is hardly any camping area, only a couple spots over near the fish habitat building area and I know after like March 1st you can not camp in the parking lots so it will be tough to do anything but a day trip

if desert rat set up near the waters edge they may be floating an RV :dontknow:
