saw this on an ADOT update this week. Sounds like it will be the same situation we faced when going to San Carlos lake when they were doing work on San Carlos river bridge with  a traffic light controlling a one way road (at least during the day :dontknow:)

Drainage improvement work starting on SR 188

Drivers should expect a lane closure and reduced speed limits

The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a project on Monday, Nov. 4 to construct two new concrete box culverts under State Route 188, between mileposts 254 and 257, east of Punkin Center by Roosevelt Lake.

This $984,000 project, which is scheduled for completion in spring 2014, will include the construction of two new concrete box culverts, removing existing pipes, and pavement and guardrail improvements.

Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. During construction there will be a lane closure and a traffic signal will be used to regulate traffic through the work area one direction at a time. Motorists will experience short delays as the signal transitions through its cycle.

Drivers are advised to adhere to the reduced speed limit and proceed through the work zone with caution and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

Great - just when I'm about ready to get back in the game after too many freakin' weekends filled with house remodeling.  Thanks for the info Bruce...

I guess it will take a trip up there to figure out if it will be two lane and no stop light early morning or fri, sat, sunday or if that stupid traffic light will be there with single lane 24/7. Pain if I am heading into hunt at 0 dark 30 and have to sit there with no traffic on the road and have to wait for the light to change on a 3 mile single lane road :angry4: Art lives over that way so maybe he can let us know how screwed up it is :dontknow:

I'm betting it's gonna be a single lane w/ stop light that has a 10 minute red light cycle  :sleepy:

Nothing yet. I'll post as soon as I hear something. I'm pre-fishing tomorrow for Saturday's high school tournament and Jeff goes to work on the south end of the lake everyday so we'll know right away.......Art

Saw the signs for the first time on the way to the lake this morning. They are at mile marker 254 !/2 south of A+ road and mile marker 252. The sign reads" traffic signal ahead from 11/13/13 until 3/30/14".  .........Done my duty......Art
