2014 Lake Powell - Meal Planning

Dave & my friends Mike and Debbie have volunteered to take care of the fry duties on Friday.  We'll need to see about sides for that day.  Was wondering if Brian could possible make his sliced potatoes again this year to go along with the fish fry? 

Bill, Dave & I will take Wednesday evening as we're planning on making our Cavatini pasta dish again complete with a truck load of garlic bread & side salad.

I will also bring a folding table.

Matt, I added to your post above.  I talked with Dick & Tim at SCF but will email them to check out this thread.  Sounds like we just about have this figured out - good job guys!!

Freshwater will be camped right next to the family units & the small store where they will have full hookups.  As for the grill situation, think the units do have a small charcoal grill but not 100% sure.

SteveJ -- All days are already booked so not sure when to fit in your white chicken chili.
We do need several (3?) sides for the Friday fish fry.  If someone would rather bring those instead of their meal, I can fit SteveJ's chili in.

Saturday, April 26th - Arrival day with supper being your own responsibility

Sunday (Menrats and OneBlade) -  BBQ burgers, fettucinni, and green side.

Monday (Freshwater and MerlotKid) - Ham and trimmings

Tuesday (Wadefisherman) - 2 pork shoulders for pulled pork and possibly a brisket

Wednesday (Fish Hawk, Sparkchaser & LLL) - Cavatini, garlic bread & side salad

Thursday (Sauerrj) - ???

Friday - Fish fry!  Mike & Debbie have volunteered to bring their fryer & do the frying.  Eat any leftovers.  Might need a couple side dishes??

Saturday, May 3rd - Leave for home!

OneBlade -- Paper plates, forks, spoons, knives, bowls, napkins
Freshwater/MerlotKid -- 6' folding table along and a Frying Saucer
LLL - another folding table

All breakfast, lunch & beverages of choice will be your own responsibility.

Reminder, plan right now for 19 people.

Last year we said meal time was 7:30pm but not sure if that's what resulted.  Seems a little late but I think we can try that again.  I'm open to suggestions if we want to bump that up to 7pm.

Hey Steve - is there any chance you could possibly provide a second side for the fish fry night?

And then a question for all - do we really need deserts?  Speaking for myself, I was stuffed last year after all the great meals and was ready for night night......

I could pass on dessert.  Yes we need 1-2 more sides for Friday so let's see if SteveJ can provide 1 or 2 more and go from there.  Brian, were you going to fry your potatoes on that Friday?
