Nice article WheatThin, thanks.  I've always heard they are night feeders but sounds like as the water warms after the spawn they are forced to feed during the day.  That's why we can be lazy fishermen and get on the water by 9am and off by 4pm and still catch them.

Fishman I have the 5" Senko mold and just learning how to make plastic baits. If you have a favorite color I would try to make some for you.  Will not be adding salt to bait.

Cool. There is only one color I use, and I use it for Senkos, jigs, and tubes. It's the Pumkinseed with green and black flake. I will say, a few years back I ran out of the Yamamoto Senkos I always use, and had to borrow a non salted version from Brian. I missed 80% of the fish, no exaggeration. Although, I was not using any scent spray back then, so that could make the difference today. If you make me some, I'd be crazy proud to use them. Thanks.
When in doubt, set the hook!

Has anyone made the trek up to good hope bay yet during these trips?  I fished it one time in the fall and seemed like it's walleye haven.  I've heard a few times people do really well there in the spring.
