Utah DNR is promoting the harvest of Walleye in Lake Powell calling them an "underutilized and potentially problematic species in Lake Powell".  A contest  has been started whereas prizes will be awarded to anglers catching a tagged Walleye.  The contest begins on July 1st, 2016 and continues for 1 year.

Please follow this link for further information along with instructions on how to register for the contest and official contest rules: Lake Powell Tagged Walleye Contest

There is a list of lake locations where the Utah DNR caught, tagged and released Walleye many of which we fish during our spring Lake Powell trip.  So what do you guys think the odds are that one of us might catch a tagged Walleye next year.........

I'll sign up, that sounds like fun.  You sure would think of the 300 or so walleye we catch as a group there may be a chance we'd catch one of them tagged.
