For everyone interested, I went ahead and made a reservation for 2 trailers for our group of 8

We chose to go April 25th to May 2nd. Historically we have done better for walleye the last week of April. I reserved calling Aramark at 888-896-3829. I received the same discount we got last year after some work. Total for each trailer came to 1624.42, or in our case 406.11 per person for the week. Not to bad for what we get up there.

Hope to see you there.

I'm out on the Lake Powell trip this year (I let Timbo and Alan know).  Have a couple other trips with the kids planned.  Gonna have to make my walleye last :-(

Are there other options than using the cabins? Could I go for a few days instead of the whole week?

There are campsites available to tent or park a trailer.  But I'll tell ya you don't want to tent it as being out all day in wind can be rough it's nice to 'take cover' in the evening and sleep in a nice bed.  Hauling up camper trailer 8 hour drive also doesn't sound appealing.  The cabins are pretty good and priced ok when you put 3 people in them.  Regarding half-week, you could see if Alan (not active on the site but I or Tommy can provide contact info) is still interested in making the trip and if so, it would be half week.  There very well may be others interested in the trip as it gets closer but now is the time to book trailers to get optimal price.  You could reach out to Mark, Marv, or Stevert to see if they are going as well.

Don't forget WallyG also.

Louis, like Matt mentioned - there are two campgrounds at Halls Crossing - one is right next to the family units and has full hookups.  You can make online reservations.  The other campground is down the road a bit, has no hookups & is first come.  https://www.lakepowell.com/rv-camping/halls-crossing-rv-campground/

And again as Matt mentioned, it sure is nice to come back from a full day's fishing to a hot shower & nice bed that the family units provide.  Dave's numbers above are divided up for 4 people per trailer.   https://www.lakepowell.com/lodging/family-units/

If there are other AZCA members interested in the spring Powell trip - please post here!!  That way we can give you direction on how to get an additional trailer(s)

I think I may make going this year a priority......It's on my calendar and I'll make sure that I don't book myself to work.  Does anyone have room in their boat for me?  I don't really want to drag my boat up there if I don't have to.

I would like to go, but I'm not sure my wife would appreciate me leaving her there with the kids while she's student teaching at that time. And it looks like it might be falling on the same weekend as the Special Olympics again and my wife is an event coordinator for the indoor events. :-\
Man I wanna go on this trip at least once!

Good Morning!  I reserved an RV spot for my wife and I for the week----  Count us in!  I'll be towing the RV and she'll be towing the boat.

Sweet Scott.....it's an awesome time. Great crew....Debbie is the other "lady" in the group.
When in doubt, set the hook!
