Fished yesterday for a few hours with my godson and his wife from Florida. We boated 8 nice crappie, 2 bluegill, and a 9 lb. 14 oz. channel cat on jigs tipped with minnows and spoons. All fish were in 25 to 30 feet of water around wood. ......Art

Thanks for the report. Thinking of heading up end of this next week with the new pontoon to see if I can find some crappie. Haven't been since Covid started. Are minnows available in Tonto Basin area near the lake? I usually come in from Payson direction and put in at Cholla.

Thanks. Oh well... jigs and gulp minnows I guess. I come in from the north.  None in Flagstaff or Payson either that I could find.

MS marine on the east end of the lake used to sell them (better call to see if they still do) if you launched from school house or grapevine not to bad of a drive over to spring creek area to buy them (if they have them)
