Yeah that's right my report is in the future.  Headed up with kids to camp, fish, and tube on Bartlett Thur-Fri.  DesertRat and CampinNana most likely up there as well.  Camping Bartlett Flats.  Looks like full sun so hope Fishless left some fish in the water.  I don't get best type of fishing in with 4 kids on the boat but will give it a shot if not just make their fall break an excuse to take off work again.  How can I have fishing fever after 2 days on Roosevelt?  Perhaps my fever was not cured.  If you're out there, let me know and tune radios to channel 7-1.

The Desert Rat

Camp-N Nana and I will be at Bartlett, Thursday 10/18 and staying through Sunday 10/28--Look for a 5th wheel, grey truck (F-250) in the first cove, left side of the Flatts---stop in or catch me in Cat Bay----

Welcome back O!

Good question as I haven't been there in quite a while.  Heading there this coming Friday for the late afternoon & night bite.  Have heard that the Jojoba Ramps is open & no issues launching.  SRP shows Bartlett 50% full & 15' of water at the ramp.

Hey Desert Rat & Halibut Warrior, where have you guys been launching?  Shore launching?

Halibut Warrior

Yes, shore launching at Bartlett flats. No problem, ground is hard. Rear pu wheels not even to the axels when boat floats off.

Fishless

SB cove and the launch there is closed (gate closed) people are launching up at the flats (but it is getting crowded) saw the boys yesterday at the flats they had a great camp spot with a sandy beach and tucked down in a draw/wash--as long as it doesn't rain

OK, took a boatload of kids (my 3 and 1 friend) on the water PLUS my parents.  Yeh, we were one over the 6 limit on that boat but really didn't want to leave anyone at camp.  After all, after Fishless's report we were sure to catch a lot of fish.  Well we got there when the bite stopped.  We initially tried trolling slow long lines but wanted to copy Fishless so parked over several trees Thur/Fri and cast let drop and reel 'em in.  In the end we got 16 crappie where 10 of them Fishless gave us and 4 some bass boat gave us.  Ha! I caught the other 2.  Yeh, real bad but fun time.  We caught bass and catfish and great campfire for the night.  Disappointed in the fishing but camp spot was great.  Desert Rat and Campin' Nana hooked us up with a great cove to camp in so kids had a great time.  Will no longer camp in SB Cove area and will never dock at main ramp again.  The 'Urb docked great on the sand in our cove.  Looking forward to next trip.

I'm looking forward to see how cousinlll, sparkchaser, menrats and those other trollers do.  We have some vertical slow trollers in there and and long line troller in there.

Hey Matt, glad you guys had a good time, guess the bite never turned back on that afternoon or the next morning? was good seeing you and desert rat in that great camp site, imagine with SB closed that shoreline area will start getting crowded with snowbirds soon?  temps are supposed to cool down?

Glad you guys had enough fish for a fry that had to be good, fresh crappie cooked up on the shoreline. Guess the new 4x4 tow vehicle yanked you out no problem :headbang:

sparkchaser

Matt, glad you got eveyone out, and had fun.  To bad the fishing wasn't better, but at least you got some. That was a great spot for camping. Your own little cove, like Fishless said, the only thing I would worry about is a downpour. Friday night it was crazy there. People still partying at 1 when we left. The shoreline was full, and I saw vehicles still coming in as late as 12.
