The Desert Rat

Just spent the last 7 days on the water. Fished from sun rise to sun set, dropped a night light 2 nights-----Jigged, minnows, naked and tipped, lures--fast and slow--from the dam to the river mouth----Nothing---found a lot of big schools---18 feet in 30 feet of water---NOTHING---will try again the week of 4/29---

I don't know what's going on with Bartlett.  I haven't had a good catch there in 4 or 5 years.  My old man just got back from fishing Bartlett and only boated one bass and one crappie between 3 fisherman.  Well thanks for the report, and better luck next time...

I am planning on Bartlett next Monday ( 04/29) for at least another 10 days. I believe when the bite starts, it will be a GRAND event with many 2 pounders---
Regarding "up the river"---you can boat pretty far up--further this time than I recall---I did graph several schools of Crappie ( Hope they were crappie) about 1 mile up from Ship Rock---
For those who care---the guys camping next to me ,hit Ship Rock ea night, returning with at least 100 pounds of cat fish ea morning--
