Davin (The Dad) and I fished for approx. five hours this morning trolling jigs tipped with minnows and later cranks from Cholla to below the hazardous buoy lines and we never go a single bite! LeRoy called me on the cell from the Salt end just before we left and his results were the same. .....Art

The same thing happened on the 23rd. we tried all over. One guy did say he had 4 crappie.  22nd. we got one. 21st we got two and 1 nice bluegill. Very rough 3 days.  It may be over for the year!!! There are shad everywhere !!!!!!

If their shad everywhere I would be switching to them. Whip out the ole cast net and net em up. Also try not to touch as many of them as you can. I like to take net right to live well. What ever falls in well ill use as lively baits others will keep a few but die sooner from handling them sometimes it seems to me where a dead shad works better than live one. Just depends how crappies feeling that day i guess. Have had good luck before with shad at Bartlett.

Thx for report Art. Family and I got a trip planed for this coming weekend Fri,Sat,Sun will be out their hunting them slabs down. But from the sounds of it I'm going to bring various other poles and try for some other species. Sounds lil tough for slabs but I do plan trying to make it out one night under the lights too so I have a report on Sunday or Monday.

WOW!! guess I had a great day at rosy yesterday :o fished from 9:30am till almost 6pm and got 5 crappie and 1 lg. mouth :crybaby2: fished hard all day, fished the salt end picked up 5 there, 1 female and 4 males, no pattern at all then at almost 1:30pm picked up and re-launched at cholla and fished the tonto end everywhere and got (0) fish, normally the bass will hit the jig etc. nothing. I was hoping another group of crappie was going to move up but not seeing any signs of that at all? Sure had a fun spring at roosevelt wishing it was not fading away? did see incredible number of shad on the salt end but very little on the tonto end. Lake was quiet heck I got a lower parking spot on the dirt at ring tail and cholla :o lake is clearing up fast only real stained water is at the ends of the lake

Art think I saw Kasy down on the tonto end fishing off shore, there was a quad and dirt bike parked off the end of indian point launch? never got close enough to see if it was him or not?

Paul: Glad to hear about the bluegill. My neighbor caught one about two weeks ago but I can't remember the last time my boat caught one. We think their about gone. ArZF: I'll be out tomorrow in the middle area of the lake. Holler if you see us. Fishless: Yep, that was Kasey and his buddy Miles. They didn't get bit yesterday either! ........Art

I had 2 grub tails pulled off at SCF like the bluegills used to do. I can only assume it was bluegill.

Wow is fishing that tough their? I can catch blues all day long most places just got to find them with any other fish and right baits and hooks. Wish the reports were better  :crybaby2: I still gonna try I will succeed at roosie. Just pick up another drop light so might have to try that out.
