While everybody & their grandma was at Bartlett playing bumper boats  by the island - I decided to see what's going on at Roosevelt.  We haven't had a Roosevelt report in a while so....

Put in at Ringtail at 0730 finding the courtesy dock, as usual, out of the water.  But it is somewhat usable as I was able to tie up my boat while parking my truck.  The walk between the dock sidewalk & ramp is through the 5' tall brush w/ what looks like a game trail that you follow to the ramp.  I haven't been to Roosevelt in a while but the dock is about in the same depth as earlier this year.  Just how freakin hard is it to provide a little customer service to the folks that use the lake & pay their salaries to come out & extend the dock a little more......... :dontknow:

Anyway, water temps 52-55 w/ very little boat traffic for a Saturday.  Was able to catch 4 very nice Crappie trolling in & around the trees in the Salt End of the lake.  1/16 oz jigs trolled slow w/ BBC & JD both working.  All fish were returned to be caught by me again....... :icon_scratch:

Thanks for the report glad you gots some crappie,If fairly quiet for a weekend you should see it on weekdays. You are lucky someone must of got on TNF about the dock, it was completely out of water earlier this week with 23' of water at the ramp. That is a joke where they put the dock to the ramp and no maintenance where you can walk from the dock to the ramp!! I had suggested some time back (to deaf ears) to put several dump truck loads of decomposed granite or some gravel across from the ramp to the dock even before all the brush grew up as walking across the rocks is dangerous.

Another good idea Bruce!  It's pathetic to see the simple things not being done.....
