Fish were biting a little sporadic yesterday. The bite picked up around 11am when we figured out what they were biting on. We were using brown and pink grubs tipped with a minnow at about 8' in 15 ' of water. We were trolling at about .5 mph around the trees.
Im new to the Crappie fishing and call the trip a success at 8 Crappie 1 bass and a catfish :sign0144:

Nice job Jim. Congrats on the new deck boat, it is a beauty. Your first time out is definitely a success. Soak up all the information these guys can share with you and soon you will be giving us pointers. Looking forward to seeing you guys at SCF. Welcome to the site and thanks for the post.
