Went out to Roosevelt Lake with my parents and fished from Windy Hill all the way to Cholla area all on the north side fishing AZGFD habitats on the Tonto end.  Some had fish, and some did not.  We had fun and caught enough crappie for a couple of fish frys. No big crappie but good eaters.  Most caught casting jigs to structure.  Jigs worked with and without tipped with minnows.  Also caught bass and catfish, with one catfish spooling out my line and there was no stopping this fish, finally bent the hook enough and broke off.  Wild.  I'm not quite sure how we would have landed that one with the small crappie net.

Keep in mind typically around Nov 15th, the AZGFD/TNF will close off many areas on the north side of the Tonto end of Roosevelt Lake.  Be sure and pay notice to any water fowl closures and marked buoys if you do fish the Tonto side north side of the lake.
