Lake Powell - Halls Crossing - April/May 2013

That looked like a totally awesome ride.  I like Apache trail and that looks to put that to shame.   So joking aside - anyone taking that route?

It's actually somewhat like Fish Creek Hill from what I remember.  Haven't taken the Trail in a few years though.  Like was mentioned before, the video makes it seem worse than it actually is.  Yes, there's a couple narrow spots where there's room for only 1 vehicle but it's shorts lived.  Besides, it's only a 3 mile stretch of gravel road.   And to answer your question - Heck yeah I'm taking that route!!  What's life without a little adventure anyway........

I'm with Larry, it looks worse than it really is. Just take it slow and easy for the three miles. I rember how easy the descent was in my mind becaues the road seemed to be extra widw. I suspect it was made this way for Semi's moving stuff to Hall Crossing.

Alright you all, it saddens me but at this time I've got to back out.  With everything that's happened with Kyle and the loss of his father he is not ready to go fishing.  I've tried to recruit a few others but because I only had a few days to fish since I'll be using most of my vacation later this year to get married I couldn't find anyone else to go with me.  I'm not prepared to make this trip solo so you all have fun.  Luckily I hadn't committed to any cabins or group meals so I'm not affecting the trip.  You all have a blast and hopefully I'll get a second chance to hit up my favorite lake this fall.

And the hits just keep coming.   My sister had a heart attack and I am on the first plane out in the morning headed for Oregon.   Sorry guys, I know this is very inconvenient and will cause some readjusting but I really don't have any other choice.    We were both looking so forward to this trip and will really miss not being able to go.    Everyone have a safe drive and a fantastic successful trip.
