Nephew and I hit the lake at 5:00am (alarm set properly to AM this time but I woke up at 3 anyway). Stopped at the Sheriff floating dock to pick up shad (about 100 - too many as they started dying soon after). Had 4 dozen minnows as backup. Headed uplake (Yellow Cliffs ramp still closed) to the first of three structures we fished. Caught fish on the first two - nothing on the third. Nice overcast day kept the temps down and the wind didn't pick up 'til late morning. Pattern was the same as last week except live minnows outperformed dead shad later in the morning. Total caught was around 90 with 58 keepers between 1-1.5 lbs. Mr. BIG was 2.1 lb. Left the lake at 1:00pm. Got surveyed by the AG&F at the ramp. Said we had about 50. He wanted to count them 'til he looked in the live well then replied "I'll just use your number".

Haven't heard these numbers at the lake in years! Good job on the catch.
